I am Brian O'Neill, a third year Ph.D. student (pre-candidate) in Computer Science at Georgia Tech. I did my undergraduate work at Saint Joseph's University, graduating in 2007 with a B.S. in Computer Science.

Research Interests

My research interests include storytelling, narrative support and understanding, artificial intelligence, and human-computer interaction. In particular, I am looking at how we can provide intelligent assistance to story authors and machinima directors as they write and produce. I am currently working with Mark Riedl in the Intelligent Narrative Computing group and Entertainment Intelligence Lab at Georgia Tech.

For more, see my Research page.

Past Work

In the past, I worked with Mark Guzdial to upgrade the Jython Environment for Students (JES), an IDE used here at Georgia Tech as well as in other schools. For more information, check out the Media Computation Teachers site, or get the newest version of JES.
