GT High School Computing Club (Version 28)

Program Description
The College of Computing’s Office of Outreach, Enrollment and Community would like to introduce a new summer program for high school students – the GT High School Computing Club. The GT High School Computing Club is a fun and interactive summer program for students excited about Computer Science and technology. In the program, students will explore their interests in computing through researching and designing projects in topics such as android application development, video game design, digital music and instrument creation, web design, robotics, simulation and modeling, and fashion design.

Program participants will learn research methods and study design, project management skills, and computing through proposing and designing their own computing projects. Program participants will be mentored and supported by a PhD in Computer Science, as well as a senior undergraduate Psychology student.

The program will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00am – 5:00pm with an optional open-lab on Wednesdays from 1:00pm-5:00pm. The program will begin on June 7th and will last for a total of 7 weeks, with a showcase on Thursday, July 21st.
