Investigate Phase II Program

Equips students with a computational toolkit to realize their ideas through project-based applications

In the Investigate Program, participants will
  1. Work on developing their projects, based on
    • New Project Ideas
    • Project proposals from the Imagine Phase or Investigate Phase I
  1. Engage in the 4Ps to learn how to design circuits, to program mobile applications, and to program arduino micro-controllers, through sessions on
    • Programming
    • Prototyping
    • Project Management
    • Presentation
  1. Continue to develop their knowledge in of computational thinking and computing skills

Weekly Sessions will include
  1. Computational Thinking Exercises Warm-ups
  2. Crash Course labs Training Modules (Arduino, AppInventor, Database, User Interface design, and programming)
  3. Project Status Updates
  4. Intergraded Project Team Work

Participants walk away with
  1. Increased programming, project management, prototyping, presentation, and team collaboration skills
  2. A tangible output of their projects based on the crash course skill development labs.
  3. Increased depth of knowledge in designing and programming mobile applications using App Inventor and
  4. Increased depth of knowledge in circuit design
  5. Increased depth of knowledge in Adruino micro-controller programming
  6. Increased depth of knowledge in programming
  7. Increased depth of knowledge in database design and implementation
  8. Additional time and resources to develop their projects
