The I3 Innovate program is designed for students who have a project idea and want a little more flexiblity in how they complete their projects. Innovate participants must be willing and able to teach themselves what they need to know to complete their project.

Program Description
In the Innovation Program, participants will be given time, resources, and mentorship to develop their project ideas into tangible artifacts for competitions.
The focus of Spring 2012 Innovate is preparation for the AT&T Arduino Competition April 26, 2012. However, those who do not participate in the competition are still welcome to participate in the Innovate program and work on their projects in preparation for the showcase.

Weekly Sessions will include
  1. Project Status Updates
  2. Project Development (Project group driven)
  3. Targeted Content Training Modules (Project group driven)

Qualified Applicants
  • Participants from the Summer 2011 High School Computing Club
  • Participants who
    • want to continue their project from the summer, or
    • have entered or plan to enter a competition and/or science fair, or
    • want to develop a patent for their projects
  • Participants must be willing and able to teach themselves what they need to know to complete their project.
  • Participants must be willing to dedicate additional time outside of program time to develop their projects and meet competition requirements

Project Showcase
The program concludes with a showcase on Friday, April 27, 2012 from 5:30-8:00pm.
