Chinese Broccoli with Wine Sauce

  • 3 T oil
  • 2 t minced ginger
  • 2 t minced garlic
  • 1 lb chinese broccoli, cut into 1 1/2 in pieces

Sauce

  • 2 T brown sugar
  • 3 T soy sauce
  • 1 t sesame oil
  • 1/4 C dry sherry or sake

  • 1 T cornstarch with water

Blanch broccoli.

Heat wok and add oil. When hot, add ginger and garlic, stirring for a few seconds. Add broccoli. Stir in sauce and mix well. Cover for half a minute, add cornstarch, and let thicken. Serve.
