Dal Soup

1 cupOrange lentils
4Carrots (chopped)
1Onion (chopped)
2Garlic cloves (minced)
1Dried red pepper (crumbled)
2 teaspoonsCurry powder
6 cupsBouillon
Cilantro (chopped)
Bring all of the ingredients except the cilantro to a boil in a large pot and simmer for 30 minutes, or until the lentils are tender. Mash the lentils or puree them in a blender or food mill. Garnish with the chopped cilantro.

You can also use:

2Cellery stalks (chopped)
1 teaspoonTumeric
1Jalapeno pepper
