Svetlana Yarosh
|
I am relocating my personal page off Georgia Tech's domains to my blog. Please look there for most updated information!
My name is Svetlana Yarosh, though I most often go by "Lana." I have recently completed my Ph.D. in Human-Centered Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology (better known as Georgia Tech). My research interests fall primarily in the area of Human-Computer Interaction, particularly Ubiquitous and Social Computing. I have a passion for empirically investigating real-world problems or needs that may be addressed through computing applications. After identifying these opportunities, I design and develop technological interventions, evaluating them using a balance of qualitative and quantitative methods. Most recently, I have designed a media space system supporting synchronous remote communication between children and parents to help address the needs of divorced families.
You can find out more about my research by downloading my CV or going to my Projects page.
