Welcome to my new Web page! I just finished my Ph.D. in the College of Computing at Georgia Tech and am currently a Lecturer in the Dept. of Computer Science at the University of Georgia. I received my Masters of Science at Georgia Tech in 2006 and my Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from Bucknell University in 2002.

Current News
I am currently teaching three courses at the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. I also taught CS-3705-A (User Interface Design) during the Spring 2009 semester at Georgia Tech. Additional information about my teaching experience and course evaluations may be found on the Teaching section of this site.
I presented my paper, "Presence & Placement: Exploring the Benefits of Multiple Shared Displays on an Intellective Sensemaking Task", was accepted for publication at the 2009 International ACM Conference on Supporting Group Work (GROUP ’09), held at Sanibel Island, FL, May 10-13, 2009.
My paper, "The Conference Room as a Toolbox: Technological and Social Routines in Corporate Meeting Spaces," was accepted for publication at the 4th International Conference on Communities and Technologies (C&T 2009), held at Penn State University, State College, PA, June 25-27, 2009.
Research Interests
Data is all around us–whether it's capturing statistics on turnstile usage at the local MARTA (subway) station, keeping track of your child's lunch schedule at school, to examining sales performance on a product. My research interests involve how to use computing in meaningful ways to help people manage information. My initial graduate school work involved ambient and peripheral technologies to help push ambient information into a user's surroundings. My more recent graduate work involves looking at the impact of ubiquitous information access on shared pixel spaces in meeting rooms. I'm very interested in exploring technical innovation supporting everyday workers in managing information, whether on-site or on-the-go.
I'm a member/alumnus of the Information Interfaces, led by John Stasko. The II Lab is part of the GVU Center, an interdisciplinary research center on the Georgia Tech campus. The research lab is located in the Technology Square Research Building, Room 342-A, located in Tech Square.
