Bruckman Selected as CRA Digital Government Fellow

Assistant Professor Amy Bruckman has been selected to become a Computing Research Association (CRA) Digital Government Fellow, which is supported by the National Science Foundation's Digital Government program. The fellowship is intended to build ties between the academic and industrial computing research communities on the one hand, and the information technology workers in federal, state, and local governments on the other. The fellowship is also a way to honor the best and the brightest of the young computer science researchers and give them exposure in an environment they might not otherwise have access to.

Each CRA Digital Fellow is expected to give a public lecture to an audience that includes a significant number of government information technology workers. In addition, it is expected that each Digital Fellow will spend additional time with the government information technology workers to talk about how the Fellow's research fits with the computing needs of their government organizations. Bruckman will receive an honorarium of $1,000 and will be featured in an upcoming issue of Computing Research News.
